It's a Wonderful Life in the South Wedge-Holiday Festival

Celebrate the upcoming holidays at the South Wedge holiday festival “It’s A Wonderful Life in the South Wedge”, with free horse-drawn sleigh rides, a tree lighting ceremony, holiday bazaar, kid’s eco-friendly ornament making, a food and clothing drive to benefit Calvary St. Andrews Church and School 12, caroling with the Rochester Oratorio Society, and specials in all local shops and restaurants.

Watch the classic film, It’s A Wonderful Life, under our tent. Make s’mores and enjoy hot chocolate and hot cider. Join our candlelit procession led by The Buddhahood. Buy your holiday trees and wreaths at the Star Alley Park that day too!

City Council committees generally meet on the Thursday prior to the monthly City Council meeting. The primary function of these committees is to review all proposed legislation and to recommend adoption, consideration, or rejection by the entire Council, either as written or with amendments.

The committees meet one after the other in the following order:

  • Finance (Carolee Conklin - chair)

  • Neighborhood & Business Development (Carla Palumbo - chair)

  • Jobs, Parks & Public Works (Dana Miller - chair)

  • Public Safety, Youth & Recreation (Adam McFadden - chair)
